In just a week (June 22nd), BAM & Hero will be celebrating their anniversary (3 years of marriage, 8 years total as partners)! We also are expecting to hit 1,000 miles on the PCT right around that time… wowza!
We hope you will help us celebrate these two big milestones by donating to @manna_foodbank through the Hiking for Hunger Project. Consider a donation of $22, in celebration of our anniversary on the 22nd- since MANNA can provide as many as 4 meals per $1 donated, this will help provide up to 88 meals for folks facing food insecurity in WNC!
OR, perhaps consider pledging a certain amount per mile! $.10/mi for 1,000 miles would be $100 (400 meals), and a grand total of $265.50 (1,062 meals) once we complete the trail.
In MANNA’s most recent edition of their Fresh News monthly newsletter, we find out that they served over 150,000 people in the month of April, a dramatic 12% increase from the month before. And they anticipate this trend will continue to climb… now more than ever, we need your help to ease this burden on our WNC neighbors.
For us, the greatest gift is being able to hike this trail together and fundraise and advocate for a cause so near and dear to our hearts, to make an impact in our small way for folks who need this support. We can’t thank y’all enough for helping us achieve this 💜
