We are heading out into the wilderness and won’t be in service for a bit. Thanks for being patient - we’ll respond ASAP when we get back to civilization 😎
Alright party people, get ready to throw down, because we’ve got a Hiking for Hunger Launch Event on the horizon! 🥳
Our first and one of our most exciting moose encounters on the Appalachian Trail. In Vermont just past Little Rock Pond.
Y’ALL… Check. This. Out- We are feelin’ absolutely AWASH with gratitude right now after receiving some wonderful support from @faroutguides. For those of y’all who are unfamiliar, FarOut (formerly GutHooks guides) is an incredible resource for hiking long distances. The maps are super detailed and include everything from where the next water source is, to the best resupply options off trail, to elevation change and mileage (and everything in between!). Users of the app provide updates, so you get the latest beta on what’s ahead. For example, while hiking the #appalachiantrail, there was a warning about ground bees on trail in Maine that gave us a much appreciated heads up so that we could navigate more cautiously and avoid getting stung! And of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention @callmekitchensink ’s thoroughly detailed and wildly entertaining “Wa-Wa” reports, hehe! All of this is to say that FarOut guides are an indispensable resource for long distance hiking 👍
