“Fund-Race” Us to Katahdin!
Our original goal was to raise $4 per mile of the Appalachian Trail. The trail is 2,193 miles which made our financial goal $8,772. You all have already exceeded this goal and are now working towards our new goal! We have challenged you (the donors) to complete the equivalent of what is called a YoYo hike of the A.T. with your donations. This is when you hike from the southern end to the northern end of the trail and then turn around and hike back to the southern end. $4 still equals a mile but now you are trying to go 4,386 miles.
YOU ALL DID IT!!! You completed the yoyo and then some! We are nearing the end and trying to make one more push to support MANNA FoodBank. Our goal as we push to Katahdin is $26,000! However, BAM! has a special challenge for you all. The BYE BYE BAM! BEARD Challenge! If we raise a total of $30, 000 by August 1st BAM! will shave his beard live at the celebration in Asheville in September! Help us spread the word and support our WNC community.
Funds Raised So Far: $29,707.30 equal to 7,426.8 miles of trail & helping provide enough food for over 118,829.2 meals!
We are so close to the Bye Bye BAM! Beard Challenge. If we raise just under $300 more Hero will shave BAM!’s beard at our September celebration in Asheville and stream it live for all to see!
